"We recently switched our auto ins to SF from another big name. SF is cheaper and the customer service is so much better. We felt like we mattered. "After almost a year of searching for a better insurance rate, I had officially given up. I was with Liberty Mutual for about two years and when my renewal came up after the first year, they almost doubled my premium – on everything. My home, auto and motorcycle. I had initially paid around $444 for everything, but my most recent payment totaled $728. It was ridiculous to be paying that much with a clean driving record and one homeowner’s claim less than 2k. I was desperate to switch to something more reasonable. I had called several offices, received a number of broker recommendations from friends, but to my surprise [and disappointment], they came in higher than what I was paying. I called Travelers, Farmers, Progressive, Allstate even called the Gecko. They all told me that rates were just “high”. Out of the blue one Friday afternoon I got a call from a State Farm number. Thinking it might be an adjuster calling on one of our cases, I answered. After Shaffer introduced himself, I very unenthusiastically I said, "look, I've spent A LOT of time looking for a better rate. You can try, but I'm not holding my breath". My thinking was State Farm.... solid company... "agents" (super fancy)... no way they are going to offer me a better rate than Liberty Mutual who strong arms me into using their self-service every time I call. Well, I was wrong. Shaffer was incredibly knowledgeable and was quick to offer discounts and get me the lowest rate possible. I am saving about $300/month for BETTER coverage than I had before. And... a whole team of incredibly helpful and extremely friendly people (thank you to Micki and Cindi) any time have a question. If there is a way, Shaffer will find it! Very glad I picked up that call. The level of customer service this team continues to provides is by far the best. This has, without a doubt, been the best insurance company I have ever had."
